When Midnight Calls (Tobias)

As Cynthia played among the clouds she was suddenly hit with the vision of a man laying in a field. She slowed her play and looked around, slowly easing out of the clouds so she could see better. She was stunned to find that she suddenly felt like she'd been punched in the heart when her eyes landed on a man laying in the grass on his back with his face turned up to the sky.

He was asleep so she decided to glide a little lower to get a better look and make sure she wasn't seeing things or having false readings on the situation. But it was seeming like she'd found her guardian, the 'special something' she was looking for. She moved her face closer to his but sensed his beginning to waken and moved farther away fading into the night as her form was meant to. She'd moved back into the cover of the clouds as he cried out for her to come back and his anguished cry tore at her and made it impossible for her to ignore it.

She landed a good distance away from him and stood stock still, the only indication she was there was the area looked a bit darker where she was standing because of her body mass, she was torn on whether or not to shift or stay in her dragon form. Cynthia scanned the area with her senses to be sure he was alone and no other humans were near, then she eased a little closer to him her eyes glowing faintly. She tilted her head at him, curiously. Now that he'd gotten her to come back what would he do? Would he approach her? Would he decide he didnt want her to come back after all and run off? This would be a test. If he approached her, or just stayed there and didn't run off then perhaps he really was what she'd been looking for.
