"No he probably threw them out by now. Or he's claimed them for his home office so there is no chance at seeing them. Oh well I can get another bonsai tree after I am stable in the job.” Angel tells him and takes another sip of her drink and sighing not wanting to think of it all anymore "So what do you do for a living?" she asked showing she wanted to get to know him and getting off the subject of her work.
“So I have to ask why a blind date your handsome enough to make nearly every girls jaw drop and wet their panties here” Angel asked licking her lips and leaning on the table a bit her eyes lit by the small candle light and it flickered a bit. Everything about her played into guys fantasies as men passed the table they tend to do a double look at her and shake their heads as they sat down to clear her of their heads.

Johnny grimaced in sympathy for her losses, mentally throwing out his original plan of simply using his other form to make it pretty impossible for anyone to stop him getting the things out of her old office. He opened his mouth to say more only for her to sigh and instantly change the topic onto him. Well, he could take a hint to let that go easily enough. "Oh me? i'm a veterinarian." He said with a hint of pride in his voice. "It's the same cliché every single vet says, but I just had such a fondness for animals growing up, it ended up being the best possible choice."
Angel's NEXT question caught Johnny completely off guard, he blinked in surprise at being complemented THAT blatantly but managed to recover quickly. "Funny. i'd argue with that if I hadn't managed to get the attention of the most breathtaking woman in the place." He said with an easy smile and a quick wink. He was being completely honest, Johnny was swinging between either 'beautiful' or 'smoking hot' as the best way to describe her and it usually went one way or another entirely on the way she moved.

“A Vet wow that must be an interesting job. It's not cliché if you like what you do and the passion drive is high” Angel says licking and biting her lip softly for a moment “I love animals too.” She says smiling.
Angel blushed a bit at the breathtaking comment knowing he was talking about her and looked down at her drink. She decided she'd play it off a bit as she looked up with flirting eyes “Well that waitress was pretty cute and she spent more time at your table then any of the others I noticed from the moment I walked in and she showed me to the bar” she says with a small giggle. “I personally think you could do better” she says as moved the hair out of her eyes.

"Well thanks. And yeah, it's great, feeling like i'm doing some good in the world and all that." Johnny agreed, thinking of just how many pet owners he'd seen get emotional when they knew their critter was going to be just fine. "But then you probably get to feel that way too with yours." He grinned at the news she was just as big a fan and nodded, "Glad to hear it, just further proof you have good taste." he added jokingly. he wasn't one of those people who only had time for people who liked animals, but it sure did mean he'd get along with them better if they did.
Johnny hadn't expected to be able to make Angel blush and took that as a quiet victory. The revelation about the Waitress made Johnny give a stunned bark of laughter, having not noticed a single part of that. "Really?" he lowered his voice, out of politeness just to make sure the Waitress in question wouldn't overhear and be hurt. "I had no idea whatsoever. I kinda feel bad about that." he let his voice go back to its normal level tones as he met her gaze. "Maybe that answers your earlier question, apparently I don't pick up on hints unless they're openly buying me a drink." he winked at her, "and i'd say i'm doing pretty damn well right now."

Angel nodded "I do love bringing justice to those that deserve it." she says as the passion for what she does shows in her eyes. She lifted her glass to he lips and finished her glass. "do you work with all animals or just cats and dogs? My sister worked as a farm vet so she got to see all types if animal." she says with a smile
As he let out the stunned laughter she couldn't help but bite her lip. "You know if your interested in her I could leave and she will come back." she says in a low voice but a wink at him. There was flirt in her eyes as she looked at him.

Johnny leaned back in his chair and sipped his drink as he listened, enjoying the energy of her voice and the way she spoke. "it's not ALL animals, but there's a lot. being in a town means I've never been asked about anything bigger then a dog. But we get plenty of rabbits and that kind of small critter too. Yesterday I had a phone call from someone asking if they could bring their fish in because it'd been floating upside down for a while... That wasn't fun. I wish I could be like your sister though, see more of horses then maybe once a year."
Her teasing suggestion only made Johnny chuckle all the more. "Darlin' I can honestly say the only interesting person in this room is you." he promised with a slight grin, looking deep into her eyes it was so easy to tell she was having as much fun with all this as he was.

Angel smiled "Well if you ever move to the rural area I might be able to help put in a good word for you at my sisters clinic. I am sure they could use all the help they can get if you want." She says smiling and then finishing her drink. Her long hair falling into flirtatious eyes.
His chuckle made her blush slightly and lick her lips. "I can say the same about you" she says truthfully to him. She slightly hoped this part of the evening wouldn't end. He was so easy to talk to and not to mention handsome beyond all reason. She let out a half giggle as her mind wondered "What do you have planned for the rest of the night?" she asked smiling and biting her lip slightly.

Johnny was rather touched by the casual offer of such kindness and raised a glass in appreciation of her. "You never know when I just might want to take you up on that. Thank you most kindly." He said honestly, wondering what he'd done to deserve it but knowing better then to dwell. This lady was becoming more and more worth knowing with every exchange of words and Johnny found he liked her.
Her question was a good one, and Johnny shrugged, "well before that idiot made trying to order like pulling teeth, I was thinkin' of ordering food. Then I was JUST about to say to hell with it and head home but-" He paused with playful dramatics and winked at her as she blushed, "-it's not every day an Angel descends on me, so that went out the window too..... So all in all? i'd say i'm open to suggestions." he offered, not knowing how similar his thoughts were to the woman opposite that he was more then happy to see where things went from here.

Angel nodded "Just let me know and I will give her a call but you have to promise me one thing, you wont like her more then me" she says with a flirting joke and a wink. She couldn't help how easy it was to get along with him. Not to mention he was as handsome as the gods and she was liking the fact he showed a true interest in her.
Angel looked at him "Well if your hungry we can always go to the café down the street, they are open all night so we can get something to eat. Plus the cook makes really good burgers" she says smiling at him. Her eyes showing she had a hidden liking of the man she was seeing in front of her. She bit her lip as he complimented her and couldn't help the seeping blush.

Johnny raised an eyebrow as he downed the last of his drink. "Oh, that's something you don't have to worry about." he said with the same flirting tone, "Meeting someone I actually take an interest in happens far too rarely for that." he said honestly, letting the obvious compliment of what he thought of her be implied. The main reason he'd been here at all on a blind date was a friend being convinced Johnny never tried to meet people. it wasn't true, he just didn't click with many.
This Lady though....
"you know, I could kill for a decent burger right now." Johnny smiled and stood from the table, leaving a decent tip for the waitress since he now knew he'd been accidently blowing the poor girl off all evening. "And since you paid for the bottle and all, i'm insisting it's my treat now before you have time to protest." He grinned, pleased with himself and, in a moment of easy confidence, offered her his hand. "shall we then?"

“I hope not I am starting to like you and that would be bad if I lost you to my sister” Angel says smiling with a flirt in her tone. She moved the hair out of her eyes. “well isn't that how life goes you find people that hold your interest and that's what make them true friends right” she says as she slides the glass to be near his in the center of the table. She leaned against the table and putting her hand by her chin as she watched him as he then stood up.
Angel smiled grabbed her purse and took his hand as she stood up and standing in front of him. "fine then I get to leave the tip." she says with a wink and her eyes sparkled and she licked her lips “And yes we shall..” she says and then starts walking in front of him to lead the way swaying her hips a bit without meaning to be to sexy but still a tease to him.

it was easy to laugh at the easy tone to the conversation, "Yeahh I'm not even gonna touch ideas as cliché romance novel as that. Way too outside my comfort zone." Johnny said as they moved out towards the front door. "Yeah that sounds right, an acquaintance you talk to and think 'yeah I could keep this going forever' you know?" he agreed with an easy nod.
As they went, it was..... admittedly, not impossible, not to have his eyes drift, but just because it was possible didn't make it easy even if he was trying his damndest to be a gentleman. But at the same time she was hot..... Johnny shook himself and had to forced himself to try and keep pace with her for his own self respect. "Sneaky, I respect that." He smirked as they went, being the one to slide the door open as they stepped out onto the street. It had gotten darker since he'd last seen the sky, but the streetlights made it a very hypothetical 'darker'. "Aaaand I just realised I don't know the directions." he admitted with a short barking laugh. "The floor is yours, lead the way?"

Angel laughed at the cliché part He's so easy to get along with she thought to herself and was glad they had the same point of view on friends. “Agreed to both statements” she says as they walked out and she wrapped her arm around his. Her eyes sparkling in the dim streetlights as they walked and it gave her more of exotic look to her.
She lead him in the direction of the café “usually taking the ally is the shortest way there if you want we can go that way or we can take the long way just depends how hungry are you?” she asked smiling and looking at him as they walked. She licked her lips as her hair fell into her eyes.

Johnny smiled with a pleased look when Angel put her arm around his, making sure to pat her arm warmly with an ever growing affection as they walked. As they went he studied her smiling face and came to an important conclusion "you're real pretty when you're happy." he said with an ease that surprised him.
The question was a good one, but Johnny was able to answer with a quick witted wink and a: "I vote for the way that leaves a beautiful woman holding my arm for as long as possible." He let a few more paces go before his free arm very carefully brushed her falling hair back behind her ear, his rough finger tips ghosting across her forehead. "Can't remember the last time that ever happened, so i'd like to make the most of it if I could."

Angel blushed as he told her she was pretty “would it be to cliché if I told you that you are handsome when you are happy as well?” she says looking at him with bright eyes and stepped closer to him. Her hair shadowing her face to be revealed to only him. The street lamp shined across her eyes and her aura seemed to put off a wave of calm and happiness along with desire.
“The long way around it is then. could always use the fresh air after a good drink anyways right” She says her smile showed she wasn't mad at the fact of holding onto him as long as she could. “I agree of making the most of it while the night is young and ours” she says with a slight giggle. She looked over at the moon as they walked and tensed slightly before shaking her head and looking at him before shaking her head slightly as if she was remembering something.
