Johnny shook his head, "Sure, but that doesn't make hearing it any less welcome." He joked as she moved closer, he almost took his arm from her just so he could put it around her shoulders but decided against it. There was something too nice about how she was holding on to him to break that spell. "And it's pretty good news, i'm a fairly upbeat person so I guess that's me set for the foreseeable."
As they walked he guided them around an upcoming puddle. "I'd like to think i'm holding my drink pretty well. But all drunk folks think they've a hold on things so yeah, i'd say it'll be healthy for us." it was interesting watching her reaction to... something in the sky, Johnny tried to take a guess at what she was thinking but found he didn't quite know her well enough yet. "Penny for your thoughts?" he asked, planning to accept any answer she gave without question if she didn't feel like sharing, but it was a pretty good way to try and get to know her better nomatter the result.

Angel licked her licks and laughed at his joke. She smiled at him and her hair fell into her eyes. “I think I am holding my drink well too but like I said the night is young and we still have the bottle.” She says pointing to it and giggling “Who knows if the night goes right then we spend a moment alone” she says with a joking flirt.
Angel blushed “You'll find my thought a bit funny” She admitted looking at him and bit her lip. She wondered how much she should tell him right off bat but then decided to just be truthful, something about him made it so easy to do that. “When I was younger I was told that I would be in this situation” she says looking down walking with him.

It was amazing how consistently this woman was able to surprise him, and consistently in the best of ways too. "early enough to know better but late enough to not care." he agreed with his own chuckle. The next bit managed to make him blink before responding though, so if she'd been trying to take him off guard she was certainly managing that. "As fun as that could be, it feels like you're the only person around already." he offered honestly, having not the slightest idea about any of the people they'd passed while walking. None of them were even registering on his radar compared to Angel.
The next bit probably should have gotten more of a reaction then it did, but Johnny was far too used to weirdness for it to take him too much aback. "If they told a pretty thing like you 'you'll meet people in bars that will want to share your time' that wasn't much of a prediction beyond having working eyes." he said, aiming to just let her continue without judging her at all. The extra compliment didn't hurt either.
