Ara is a feisty red head. A fighter through and through. Need a body guard?

She's the perfect one, no harm will come to you while she's around. She takes

no shit from anyone. But don't think she isn't friendly, she can be a very good

friend and very loyal too. Don't get on her bad side she has a fiery temper. If you call her Bess and you are not a person that she gave permission to call her that then watch out for her flying fist, she will knock you on your ass.



History:

Arabesque was so named because her mother loved the ballet and particularly that specific ballet move. She was born into a family of fighters on her father's side at least. Her mother had once been a dancer but had given up that life after meeting her father. She'd been tired of traveling with her dance troupe plus, unknown to the troupe, she'd injured herself during one of the performances but had kept going for about a month after the injury. She'd left the dance troupe and returned home to be with her true love. Not long after that her parents had married and sometime later their daughter was born.



Her middle name was her father's choice and chosen in honor of his grandmother who he'd been very close to, her grandmother had been a big influence in her life. She told her stories about a fire bird, a phoenix that, instead of dying, catches fire, burns to a pile of ashes then rises from those a few days later to become a brand new bird even brighter and bigger than before. The story fascinated Ara and the bird of legend became Ara' s symbol of strength.



Ara's mother had found a way for Ara to have dance lessons and she'd excelled at it, her secret ability helping her be light on her feet and move with grace, but she really wanted to learn to be a fighter like her father. Periodically her father was hired by royal's or higher castes for personal protection and she had watched him train with other 'bodyguards'. She watched and thought how they could fight much better if they incorporated some of the dance moves she'd been taught. She once asked her mother if she could train with daddy but her mom had frowned at her "Mi 'Petite, you are a natural dancer, you can not fight with your father."



So she usually 'practiced' her own fighting style in secret, usually in her room and when her parents weren't home or out in the backyard (also when they weren't home). Her mother was a dance instructor, though not Ara's instructor, her mom was the instructor for younger children. Ara had moved up to higher classes by the time she started practicing her own form of 'fighting'. This is what she was doing on the day her parents realized how serious she was about fighting. Arabesque was in the backyard 'fighting' a tree as her practice dummy, using a series of dance moves that went from arabesque to pirouette and ended in a high, hard kick, though not hard enough to seriously hurt her foot.



Her parents stood in shock and awe of what they'd just seen. She had combined her father's fighting style with some moves from her dance lessons. Seeing this made them proud. This was Ara's signature style of fighting. At first her father wanted her to teach his group but then he decided that no this was going to be Ara's style alone. He began to give her private training lessons and her mother also worked with her in private to help her combine the dance with the fighting more fluidly. It worked out well.



In the end Ara became the most sought after bodyguard for her clan's PSI or Protection Services Incorporated. Her weapons are mainly bow and arrow, arms, legs and anything within reach. She doesn't like firearms but she is cleared to use them if necessary. Most of the time she has a bow and arrows slung across her back and carries herself proudly not afraid of anything. Arabesque normal rides a deep purple, almost black looking, motorcycle with a gold emblem of a phoenix rising from ashes. The fire bird is her signature bird, it's even tattooed on her back, it's wings reaching to her shoulder blades, placed there in honor of her special ability to turn into this mythical creature. She'd finally revealed it to her father and asked that her mom stay out of the loop. Also her best friend and her brother, Jack, knew about this talent.
