There had been something about the fact she had been shoving her swimsuit into her bag as she'd said it, that had made Sarah's mom not wholly convinced that she was going over to Jay's to study. Somehow Sarah had managed to talk her way into convincing her that there was a difference between studying non stop the entire time (mind numbing and depressing) and studying a whole lot and doing a couple fun things as well. (motivating and enjoyable).
So, here she was, knocking on Jay's front door with her bag over one shoulder and her mom driving away after having given her a lift on the way to the shops, and Sarah had to admit if life was fair they totally would only be meeting up like this to have a good time of things, but the universe and school both had it out for her.
Yaaaaaaaaay maths. her faaaaaavourite. Sarah sighed and knocked once more.

Jay opened the door "Hay Sarah come on it." She says with a smile as she waved at Sarah's mom from the car. "Almost thought you wouldn't be able to make it I know your mom is a hard case" she says as she lead to her room. She opened the door to her room and it was a purple room with boards on the wall and a few posters scattered around. There was a few stuffed animals on her bed with a purple black and grey quilt. "make yourself at home while I grab my book do you want a soda or anything before we start?" she asked as her hair fell into her eyes. Sarah Stone |

Sarah grinned when she saw her friend, "heya! And thanks, can't just stand around looking pretty out here all day." She said, giving her mom a quick wave goodbye before following Jay up the stairs. The comment about her mom made her frown but it was easy to shake off. "Well she didn't SAY she was disapproving, but I did get a lecture on how vital taking my studies seriously is. aaaall the way here." That was a tiny bit of exaggeration but close enough to the truth that she was really glad to have arrived when she did. Once they reached Jay's room, Sarah took the offer serious enough to just flop onto the bed as soon as her bag was on the ground, (making sure to not get her shoes on anything but the floor of course) and take the place in fully. "if you've got diet ones yes please, full sugar drinks taste like watered down syrup." she responded easily. "your parents around by the way?" (OOC: if Jay only lives with one parent or whatever, Sarah'd know that and i'll edit the last bit  ) Jay |

"Are you on a time frame of when you need to get back?" She asked as Sarah plopped on the bed. She smiled as her hair fell into her eyes. She tried to hide her feelings toward Sarah but she couldn't help but have the butterflies as the hottest girl she had ever seen sat in her room "Yeah diet coke ok?" Jay asked as she walked toward her bedroom door. She went and grabbed soda's and a snack then returned "Dad's at base and moms at the hospital working 36 hours so I got the house to myself after a lecture on no parties" she says shaking her head and sitting next to Sarah. Jay had always been alone for the most part she could technically get away with everything because her parents where never around but she tried her best to stay on a decent path of fun and study. Even being surrounded there was something that seem to always make her the loner type. That was the way of all of her friends though they were the cool loner type that everyone knew of yet it was hard to get in their click. "Here ya go and I found some chips if you want some." she says with a smile as she looked at Sarah. "So what do you want to do first Hot tub or study?" She asked biting the inside of her lip. There were a few seconds of silence before Sarah face palmed with a low groan. "I SHOULD have asked about that shouldn't I?" She murmured despairingly. "i don't know then...." Sarah tried to think about how far she could push her luck with this. "There's no way i could get away with asking for a lift back any time after Ten i think. soooo maybe i should phone up like, half nine or something and see?" Sarah was confident that'd work out well enough and nodded enthusiastically. "thanks!!" She sat on the bed, kicking her feet and wasting time until Jay got back with the snacks. "Double thanks!!" was her cheerful grin as she was handed her share of the loot. "man oh man, i don't envy either of your folks then. Wouldn't want to be stuck doing either." Maybe the base wouldn't be too bad, Sarah had no idea how military stuff worked and she didn't WANT to know frankly. She smiled and nudged Jay with her shoulder, "Ah who needs a party when you have ME right?" Sarah was teasing, but really was glad it was just the two of them. as much as Sarah lived for the social spotlight, it could still be pretty exhausting. The offer of chips made Sarah smile, "and you've earned yourself a third of thanks!" that wasn't a proper sentence, but it wasn't intended to be, as she helped herself to a handful of chips and instantly popped a couple into her mouth. "oooh they're my faves too! You're either super thoughtful and remembered, or super lucky. But they're both good qualities so you win regardless." she chewed thoughtfully at the question. "You kidding? we should totally make the most of what sunlight's left and enjoy the hot tub properly before it gets all cold out!" Also, for when her parent showed up it'd be for the best for them to look as deep into things as they could be. "Plus i got a new swimsuit at a mall when we went to visit my Aunt across the state! it's so cute you'll love it!" Jay |

Jay laughed a bit and took a drink of her soda. "Yeah they work hard and alot" she says with a shrug as she digs out a chip and looks at Sarah. "Right you're pretty much a party in itself" she says with a little flirting joke "You're better then any party I've been too. I love hanging out with you" she says honestly. "Let me get my suit" She says as she takes a few chips and pops them into her mouth. "I love anything you wear. You have good style." she says as she opens her closet and pulls out a dark purple bikini "I got a new one too just in time for the season." She says holding it up and smiling at her "You can change in here or the bathroom." she says biting the inside of her lip at a hidden thought but then headed to the window to close it so they could change. She started undressing but her back toward Sarah to give the bit of privacy. Sarah Stone |

Sarah's eyes widened when Jay was so nice out of nowhere like that, and gave Jay a wide smile of appreciation, "awwww you're so darn sweet, thank you!" she said, giving Jay a one armed hug, the other being too full of spill-able drink to risk it. "I love getting you all to myself too." Sarah began, trying to find a way to say what she was thinking without the risk of sounding rude. "You don't always act completely yourself in crowds, and as corny as it sounds I end up missing you even when i'm sitting there next to ya." maybe that had been too strong a statement to make, and Sarah instantly worried she'd gone overboard. but Jay was one of her best friends in the world and she wanted to make sure the other girl knew she cared.
Maybe it would help to be broken up by them changing, Sarah clapped and hopped right off the bed after Jay, moving to the bag she brought and being able to get her own outfit with ease. Sarah had put her towel and bikini on top of her maths books on the hope that they'd get to have fun before the accursed work began. "Ya really think so?" Sarah asked, trying to sound humble even if the compliment had made her beam on the inside. "So do you! sometimes i wish i could come close to pulling off the skater-girl look as well as you." She said honestly, even if it was far from her usual more 'preppy goth' outfits.
"ooh that's so CUTE!" Sarah said, clapping excitedly at the sight of Jays new swimwear. She returned the favour to give Jay a look at her own red and black bikini set. "You have to tell me where you got... OH!" Sarah had been so caught up in talking she hadn't given any thought to why Jay was turning around until she'd taken her shirt off..... Sarah had spent maybe a couple seconds too long looking at Jay's bare back before she squeaked with embarrassment and span around herself, her cheeks turning pink. "iMeantWhereYouFoundThat." she said quickly, hoping she'd sound casual enough that Jay wouldn't think anything had happened. She shook herself mentally and began to quickly change as a distraction.

((These two make me blush haha)) "I got it in Hawaii last summer while we were stationed there" Jay says with a bit of a blush as she heard the OH from Sarah "You can't be that surprised to see me naked we use to wear the same gear in middle school remember" she says jokingly. "Can you tie me up" Jay says as she holds the bikini strap up to her neck and looks over her shoulder back at Sarah with a smile and a gleam in her eyes. She was hoping her little hints of flirting where getting through but it was hard to read Sarah and Jay didn't want to push just in case Sarah wasn't interested. Her hips shifted a little in her pants showing all her curves. For someone that skates and is in a military home Jay had always kept a bit fit it showed well. Sarah Stone |

"ohhhh right! yep!" Sarah said, taking the time to shake herself out of it. "Guess it's not likely i'm going to just pop down to Hawaii for a shopping trip though which is a true suck." Although if it worked....Sarah had to remember to try and talk her mom into a holiday there just to see if she could. The joke made her laugh and Sarah finally relaxed entirely again. "i'm gonna be surprised by sudden nudity all I want, thank you VERY much! its not exactly something i'm used to!" She laughed as she got her own top on properly.
Aaaaand just as Sarah's brain had gotten back in form, Jay went ahead and bluescreened her again. That. She. why did- Sarah almost wanted to slap herself, if a pretty girl asked things like that you didn't waste time standing around questioning it. Sarah hadn't ever told Jay she was bi. Honestly she hadn't ever told ANYONE, and so the part of her wanting to keep stealing looks at Jay wasn't exactly small.
"Sure!" Sarah agreed, trying not to sound as distracted as she felt as she approached. Really she wouldn't have gotten embarrassed like this if she hadn't gotten a glimpse of her friend in the process of changing, but now she had her brain was going places she didn't want it to. "I was right by the way." She said as she tied the straps up with practiced ease. "You're super cute and only half in it yet." Sarah stopped, realised what she just said and went an even darker red then before. SHE'D MEANT THE OUTFIT WAS CUTE NOT JAY. WELL JAY WAS CUTE BUT THAT WASN'T WHAT SHE'D MEANT. Sarah tried to keep her mouth shut the rest of the time she was helping and silently wondered how rude it would be if she just went and drowned in the hot tub rather then deal with her own stupidity.

Jay let out a soft giggle "If you want you can borrow this after I wash it for the first day of summer." she says with a smile "Maybe if we end up going and I get on your moms good graces I can take you with us next time dad encourages me to have friends come on the shorter trips that only take a month or two I just never asked if anyone wanted to go. Maybe we can get our parents to let you." She says with a smile as she felt Sarah coming closer to help her. Once Sarah had tied the bikini she dropped her pants and undies and slid the other undies on and turned to face Sarah being inches from her "Thanks I was hoping you liked it. I actually got it cause it made me think of you." she says with a flirting truth. She had always wondered what it would be like to be with Sarah. She had came out over the summer to her parents and then to her friends and everyone seem to accept her and she wondered how Sarah took the news if she even knew. She smiled and grabbed her hand "Come on." she says leading her down the stairs to the hot tub. "After you my lady" she says holding out her hand to help her in and giggling at the antic but her eyes held her flirting ways. Sarah Stone |

Sarah beamed and excitedly clapped Jay on the shoulder at the offer. "Really? That would be the COOLEST thing! I would love to, like, spend the summer off exploring somewhere brand new with you!!!" Instantly, she was running a thousand and one ideas through her brain to try and make her Mom be on board with that. Maybe if she did a few more chores around the house? Maybe if she tried harder to get her grades up and 'casually' mentioned how she was sure it was studying with Jay that'd helped.... it seemed do-able. And that made her hopeful enough to really wanna try it. "we HAVE to give it a shot Jay!"
Then, suddenly, they were inches apart and Sarah didn't know what to do. She didn't want to back away, but was too nervous to move closer. At this point Sarah would have to be crazy not to be convinced Jay was flirting with her. Anyone could see it... but some tiny part of Sarah that didn't like her very much was whispering that if it turned out Jay was only joking, or it was just wishful thinking making Sarah see it, then she'd never forgive herself for freaking Jay out or making things weird between them..... So she didn't dare risk it. Not yet anyway. That didn't mean she couldn't enjoy a warm feeling inside at Jay being this close. Nor her words.
"I'm flattered." Despite her nerves, Sarah wasn't going to just let Jay get away with all this with no turnaround attempted. "And i'm really glad you did. 'Cause now I get to see you in it." it hadn't come out as smooth as she'd had it in her head but it'd do, happily letting Jay pull her along as they headed down the stairs, givng the other girls hand a small squeeze. 'my lady' made Sarah blush yet again and she gave Jay a teasing smile. "I never thought you would have such good manners."

 Jay smiled “We will give it our best and if anything my dad can talk to your mom about how important it is I have a little social life and how your my closest friend here” she says and gives her a wink. Jay lead her to the hot tub. She went around and closed all the curtains to the room knowing it would probably make Sarah feel better “There thats better” she says with a smile and looking at her with the same secret flirting eyes. Jay laughed at the comment of good manners “I only have good manners when there's something I want” she says getting in and sinking to her neck “Or if I am around you I don't want to make you to much of a degen like me” she says licking her lips and smiling the water and dim lighting reflecting off her skin. “Anyone ever tell you you're cute when you blush?” she asked curiously. Sarah couldn't help being swept along in Jay's easy optimism and confidence and just grinned back at her as they went. It wasn't often she was this optimistic about future events, but hey, there seemed to be no end to the unexpected effects Jay had on her. She was trying to put that thought into words as Jay closed the curtains, and found them fade a little as she finally relaxed fully..... it was only when Jay finished that Sarah realised she'd been silently staring as her friend had moved around the room..... but something in the girls eyes made her doubt Jay minded. "Perfection!" Sarah nodded, dipping her toe in the hot tub and finding it already at the perfect temperature. "Things are so much more relaxing when i can forget the rest of the world a while you know?" The idea Jay was anything at all like a 'degen' made Sarah giggle as she got in, "if you're a degenerate then the word's a compliment." she joked, sighing in contentment at how nice it felt. Alright suddenly she was low key jealous of having something like this available all the time. Ironically, the question about her blushing only made Sarah go even more red, tilting her head deliberately so her hair covered what of her face it could. It was an instinctive thing, even if her brain was yelling at her that if Jay liked it why the hell was she hiding it? "...no. i think people usually just assume they went too far and back off." She admitted, feeling any frustration she'd felt at such things be supressed by Jay's flattery. "T-thank you." Sarah added, before very carefully scooting a little closer to where Jay sat, still trying and failing to get her shyness under control. Jay let out a laugh "Yeah I know what you mean everything just melts away" She says her eyes holding the flirt and the fact she liked Sarah watching her. "It's especially relaxing when there's good company." she says with a wink. "Yeah well they back off because they don't have what it takes" Jay says as she sits with her back against the side and she looks at Sarah and smiled She ran her hands up through her hair and then up her shoulder to get the warmth of the water and to give a little show " You'd be surprised by how often I really get red" Jay says with a smile and a small tint to a blush that seemed to only show with Sarah. "Especially when you're around" she says licking her lips and her eyes shining a bit brighter. Sarah Stone |

the noise that occurred when Jay was both smooth and winking at her was 100% the tile of the hot tub and NOT Sarah squeaking in surprise again. Honest. Alright. Alright. This was going in only one undeniable direction now and it was one that exhilarated and terrified her to acknowledge. Sarah couldn't have taken her eyes off the other girl if her life had depended on it, and was starting to worry her life DID depend on someone making a move before her heart got sick of hammering away at her rib cage and finally burst completely. "I-I'm glad they didn't now." Sarah managed, despite the warmth of the water actually shuddering a little as she watched the movements of Jay's hands. Thoughts, utterly unbidden but now impossible to dismiss swarmed her of how much she wanted to feel them brush her own hair.... Sarah shyly twisted the red streak around her finger and smiled. "I might be the luckiest girl in town then. Getting to see art like that. like you." the SECOND she said that, self doubt gnawed at her mind, suddenly scared that'd been corny or stupid or... no... no. she said it now and it had been TRUE. they were well past the point of no return... this would either go exactly as she'd secretly dared to dream it could when she'd first been invited over. or... Sarah clamped down on any other train of thought before it had a chance to grow. Jay |
